A nutrition assistant company in the US, MixFit, has accomplished the service to optimise the nutrient level for household use. The digital App has exhibited limitations in user conversion and is ready for an upgrade on its users' digital experience. This project contributes to one of their market- expansion strategies in Asia. The task given to me in the 2-week sprint was to propose the adaptation concept with a novel feature for entering the Chinese market.
MixFit is an IOT nutrition-boosting drink company that has the ambition to expand its market. With this vision in mind, I had the following steps towards a concept proposal within the sprint. This process shadows the trajectory of design thinking, from empathising tool testing, which makes the design outcome starting point for discussion and iteration.

The market research was carried out via desktop research following the PEST framework from the macro-perspective. In addition, I carried out the competitor analysis of the two top-tier products from the sector. These are the selected insights.

To allocate a promising persona, I started the desktop research in combination with interviews to understand how users feel about the health & fitness industry. From this narrowing process, I was able to synthesise a 29-year-old female persona as the early adapter.

While considering the local market, these are some selected ideas of the brainstormed features that can potentially help raise user retention rate, given the user analysis and market research. Offline dish-hunting is demonstrated further.

The Explore tab aims to bring offline activities and resources to the product. The feature focuses the users in the Chinese market where they mostly associate eating rituals with socializing. The demands for healthy meals are growing and are coupled with a busy urban lifestyle, nurturing the market for healthy offline meals. This is a feature that marries the needs, giving a platform to reference, rate, and scout-your-own purchasable healthy meals.

Reflection & More
On the process level, “Get things done” within the scope quickly have the ideas tested by potential users (for both concept phase and UX phase).
On the content level, Researching is a narrowing down process, but the user and competitor analyses are more likely to bring granular valuable insights.
