While working at Ink Strategy, I had the luck working in this engaging cyber awareness campaign for A.S. Watson. The Cyber Security department asked us to design, build and manage the campaign so the 10k+ global employees would adjust their behaviors, lowering the potential of cyber threats. The internal communication tools had a successful start in 2019 due to the creative setting and on-time implementation. During 2020 and 2021 under the timely-changing circumstance of the pandemic and the increasing threats in the work-from-home cyber world, we worked in sprints and delivered timely-relevant campaign modules. The following content will mainly focus on my diverse role in the campaign. For a more detailed case study on the impact, please click the button below.
Throughout the 2-year campaign, we aimed to create a set of communication tools through co-creation and execution in sprints. This allows having a good overview of the Pause, Think and Protect campaign message, and rapidly progressing design work while receiving feedback from earlier sprints. Here are some examples of the visual tools on their selected medium.
Character Design
Together with the design lead, Bob, we designed a ‘protagonist’, Mr.Unsercure (who is indeed ‘insecure’ too), 2 villains ‘thief rat’ ‘Hacker X’ and 2 educating cats. Each character has a distinct personality that may remind us of someone we know, or even ourselves.
Cyber Games
We delivered the design of eight E-learning modules as a playful and effective way to promote incentives and track the completion rate around the world. I was responsible for the visual design, mobile interaction design, and the preparation for design implementation.

Digital Media
To complement the informative animations and posters, we also designed over sets of awareness assets to be circulated in the organization. Trending mediums such as animated GIFs and stickers in social chatting apps turned out to be well embraced.
The Growing Imact
The impact is still growing, and Ink will be ready for next year cyber’s awareness challenge. Check out the following video highlighting this past campaign in 2021.
