About me
I’m a self-motivated designer looking for a career nudge in product design, empowering users via awesome products with the mindset to optimise and scale.
As a designer with an engineering background and currently working as a design consultant in a management consultancy, I believe visual thinking is a tool with great potential to excel during the design process, leveraging between liability, feasibility, and desirability.
Together with the team, we help numerous companies communicate their visions to activate fellow employees towards behavioral change.
Meanwhile, I’ve grown a great interest in carrying out the strategic vision via product or service development, that is to be a designer crafting experience. I would like to provide values beyond styling and collaborate to create the system whether they are empowering users through functions and features, or as the channels to deliver brand promises.
Not to be a generalist
Being educated and employed in Material Science Engineering and with the working experience in a consultancy have brought me different perspectives of problem solving, and thinking in levels of abstraction. Yet, I grew more respect on the notion of expertise and craftsmanship. Being a curiosity-driven individual in the fast-changing world, I would like to practice growth mindset while staying conscious of the scope of my professional and personal development.

About A-yun Design
This design studio was created during education time, with the goal to self educate and compensate the living expenses. Soon it has evolved the playground for side projects and collaborations.
Running the sole-proprietary studio on the side can be somewhat conflicting, thus I would like to compartmentalise it from the profession and gradually switch scope to visualisation and illustration. Nevertheless, with great compassion for a sustainable future and well-being, I do hold an idealistic ambition to consider this playground as "life work not just rice work". I'm looking for design opportunities that aim to contribute to a sustainable future, even just a little. This “side hustle” as well as other learnings will help fuelling the ambition.
So, don’t be a stranger. Connect me if you are interested in collaborations.
